    Elgin Country Club offers one of Chicagoland’s top championship 18 hole golf courses.

    Our superior Tom Bendelow designed golf course is situated on the most dramatic terrain in the Chicago area. The classic, early 20th century design featuring rolling hills, tree lined fairways, elevated tees, and fast, false-front greens that can be enjoyed by players at all skill levels. Organized golf programs, available for men, women and juniors, promote friendship and fun for members and their families. In addition, Members can take advantage of our flat-fee Golf Guest Program.

      • Welcoming all golfers who want to participate in organized competition or just friendly games.

        A highlight of Saturday and Sunday mornings are a wide variety of team and individual games intended to create a spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition. On weekend mornings tee times can be reserved as early as 6:30am. 

         We hold more than 30 individual and team tournaments for members and guests plus casual and social golfing events. Notable events include:

        • The Invitational is the premier member/guest event taking place over 3 days in August. Tournament rounds are followed by cocktail receptions and dinner.   This event is great opportunity for Chef Jamie Hatzis to showcase his culinary talents for Members, guests and their significant others.
        • Club Championship has been played since 1901 and has been won by many well-known local amateur golfers.
        • Player of the Year award is a season long, points-based competition in designated events. Points are awarded for both participation and competitive results.

    • Women

      • Whatever your level of interest or skill there’s a great way for our members to participate competitively or just for fun.

        For 18-hole play The Ladies’ League at Elgin Country Club is a fun loving group whose handicaps range as wide as our ages… 20-something to 75+! ALL are welcome.
         
        There are also organized groups for 9-hole and casual golfers. Theses groups create an environment where lasting friendships are built. Beginning in April The Ladies’ League provides its members with a weekly Tuesday golf game followed by lunch…and more. Weekly events are a variety of individual or team formats plus many special events throughout the season.

        Special events are a mix of formal competitions such as Ladies’ Club Championship and the Lady Elgin Cup to more casual events just for fun! In addition, League Members are eligible to participate in 4-ball match play team events against other local clubs and formal tournaments organized by the Chicago Women’s District Golf Association.

    • Juniors

      • With a variety of programs for all ages, your junior golfer will learn the correct etiquette and techniques to enjoy the game.

        Golf programs are available for your children and grand children from the youngest “Lil Rippers” to advanced junior players.  Organized activities include summer instruction programs, skills challenges, Junior Club Championships, PGA Junior League inter club and High School competitions.

      • Our golf staff includes full time PGA certified professionals who provide personalized learning experiences for all skill levels and playing abilities.

        Video and latest Trackman radar technology are available for swing analysis and custom club fitting.

    • Caddy Program

      • Providing community youth with meaningful summer employment and enhanced golf experience for members and guests.

        Elgin Country Club has maintained a caddie program for more than 80 years.  This is the way golf was meant to be played.   Our Members are generous supporters of the Evans Scholarship Foundation providing tuition free college educations to worthy young men and women.
